Install the app
Download the APK on your Android phone and install it.

Turn on Remote
In AgentDeck on your PC: Ctrl+Shift+P → “Remote control from your phone…”.

Scan once
Click “Pair a phone…”, scan the QR code, check the codes match and press Allow.
Your whole deck, from the couch, the bus or the office
Answer prompts on the go
An agent asks “Allow this?” while you’re out. Tap Yes or No, or type a reply, and it carries on without you rushing back to the desk.
A real terminal keyboard
Type commands and use Esc, Ctrl+C, Tab and the arrow keys from a key bar built for terminals, not chat.

Before you start
What you need
- An Android phone (iPhone isn’t supported yet)
- AgentDeck 0.46 or newer on your PC, kept open
- AgentDeck Pro, or the free 7-day Pro trial
- The same Google account on the phone and on the PC
Set it up in five minutes
Install the app on your phone
- Download the APK on your phoneOpen this page on your Android phone and tap Download for Android. It’s about 110 MB, so Wi-Fi helps.
- Allow the installOpen the downloaded file. Android will ask you to allow “Install unknown apps” for your browser — allow it, go back, and tap Install. The app isn’t on the Play Store yet, so this one-time step is expected.
- If Play Protect warns youPlay Protect may say it doesn’t recognise the app. Tap More details → Install anyway. Every release is signed with the same certificate, so updates install over the top.
Turn Remote on, on your PC
- Update AgentDeckRemote needs AgentDeck 0.46 or newer. Use the Update button in the app, or download it again from the AgentDeck page.
- Open the Remote settingsPress Ctrl+Shift+P to open the command palette, type “remote”, and choose “Remote control from your phone…”.
- Switch it onTick “Allow remote control from paired phones”. The relay URL is already filled in — leave it as it is. Optionally give your PC a name you’ll recognise on the phone. The status should change to “Connected to the relay.”
Pair your phone (once)
- Show the code on your PCIn the Remote window, click “Pair a phone…”. A QR code appears; it expires after a few minutes, so have your phone ready.
- Sign in and scanOpen AgentDeck Remote on your phone, tap “Sign in with Google” with the same account you use in AgentDeck, allow the camera, and point it at the QR code.
- Check the code and allowBoth screens now show the same six-digit code. If they match, press Allow on the PC and choose what this phone may do. If they don’t match, press Deny — someone may be interfering.
Use it from anywhere
- See every paneThe home screen lists your PC’s panes and whether each agent is working, idle or waiting for you. Tap one to watch it live.
- Answer and typeTap Type to send a message or command, then ⏎ to run it. The key bar has Esc, Ctrl+C, Tab, ⇧Tab and the arrow keys, so you can answer an agent’s Yes / No prompt or stop it mid-run.
- Do more from the More tabSwitch workspaces, run palette commands, browse and edit files in your workspace folders, read notes, start routines, check usage and more — whatever you allowed when you paired.

Private by design
- Remote is off until you switch it on, and only phones you paired can connect.
- Everything between phone and PC is end-to-end encrypted. The relay in between only passes scrambled data it can’t read.
- Each phone gets only the permissions you picked. Change or revoke them any time from the Remote window (Permissions… / Revoke / Disconnect all).
- The remote activity log in the Remote window records what paired phones did.
Questions & fixes
Your PC must be on, awake and online, with AgentDeck open. If the PC goes to sleep, the phone loses it — turn off sleep in Windows power settings if you’ll be away. In the Remote window the status should say “Connected to the relay.”
Remote is an AgentDeck Pro feature (the free 7-day trial includes it). Your pairings are kept if a plan lapses, so renewing brings the phone straight back.
Close the pairing window and click “Pair a phone…” again for a fresh code. If the camera can’t focus, use “Scan the code from a photo” on the phone with a screenshot of the code.
Tap “Open Settings” on the pair screen and allow the Camera permission for AgentDeck Remote. On Xiaomi / MIUI phones also check Settings → Apps → Permissions. The camera is only used to read the QR code.
On the PC, open the Remote window, select the phone under Paired phones and click Revoke. It can’t connect again without scanning a new code.
Not yet — AgentDeck Remote is Android only for now.
